One of the biggest questions we get is users being unable to Register and create a new account. Often, the "Register" button doesn't seem to work. Here are a few suggestions:

1. Make sure your username and password are both at least 8 characters. Because common user names tend to be peoples first names, they get used quickly and become unavailable. A better option is to use your first and last name as one word, like jimsmith or pauljones or to use a word other than your name like Main Street Music. You can also use dashes or underscores, like jim_smith or johns-music-shop.

2. Always create passwords that have a mix of lower and uppercase and at least 1 special character or number, and don't use common words or your name in the password. Use things like: 9poiuytREWQ or 0789LKjh. It's good to keep away from characters like #, $ and & though, as they are very common programming characters and can cause problems on occasion.

We understand it can be frustrating and we are looking into adding some code so your registration process is more user friendly and can explain which field needs more characters or is causing the problem.
